Meet Kate Squires – Head of Services at Rainbow Trees Pathway

Kate brings over 20 years of experience working within the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) sector, supporting children, young people, and families with empathy, understanding, and lived experience. As Head of Services at Rainbow Trees Pathway, she plays a vital role in nurturing the roots of the organisation — helping every branch grow strong and connected.

Kate is deeply passionate about ensuring that families have the right information and support at the right time. She believes that families are the foundation of every young person’s growth and that when they are supported, everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

As an autistic adult and parent to four neurodivergent children, Kate brings both professional and personal insight to her work. She approaches every family with warmth, honesty, and respect, helping to create spaces where people feel safe, understood, and valued.

Known affectionately within Rainbow Trees Pathway as the roots that keep the tree grounded, Kate brings steadiness, compassion, and connection to everything she does. Ensuring the whole team, and the families they support, can grow and flourish together.
