About us

Our Vision
We believe that everyone deserves access to support that makes sense for them at the right time, in the right way. Our vision is to reduce barriers and provide meaningful, flexible support for individuals and families.
We aim to be a trusted presence whether in schools, at home, or in the community offering consistent, thoughtful support that meets people where they are. Our work is shaped by real-world understanding, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing what works, not just what’s expected.
Ultimately, we want to see a world where difference is respected, communication is understood, and no one has to navigate challenge alone.
Our core values
Trauma
informed
We take a trauma-informed approach in everything we do. That means we recognise that past experiences can affect how a person engages with the world around them including learning, relationships, and daily life. We don’t make assumptions or apply one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we focus on building trust, creating emotionally safe environments, and responding with understanding and consistency.
pERSON CENTERED
We believe in autonomy. That’s why we take a person-centred approach listening carefully, working collaboratively, and tailoring our support to fit the individual rather than expecting them to fit into a system. We focus on strengths, respect and lived experience.
total communication
We use a Total Communication approach to make sure every young person is heard and understood. This means we adapt how we communicate using speech, visuals, sign, symbols, or assistive tools based on what works best for the individual.
Communication isn’t one-size-fits-all. By being flexible and responsive, we reduce frustration, build trust, and create more equal, respectful relationships. Everyone communicates differently, and we’re here to listen in the way that makes the most sense for them.

ABOUT RTP
Rainbow Trees Pathway was born from a simple idea and a powerful belief: that every young person deserves to be met exactly where they are right now not where others expect them to be. By recognising and responding to the present needs of each individual, we can put the right support in place to help them reach their full potential, in their own time and on their own terms.
Rainbow Trees Pathway is working behind the scenes to be a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we are legally committed to using our resources for the benefit of the community. Our CIC status reflects our core values: inclusion, integrity, and putting people first. Every step we take is guided by the needs of the children, young people, and families we support.
The Send & Friends community grew from a deep understanding that within the SEND community, everyone should have equal access to inclusive, meaningful event spaces created with them in mind. These events offer more than just fun; they provide connection, belonging, and a chance to meet others who truly understand—helping young people and families feel less alone.
