Brick‑by‑Brick® is an evidence‑based, LEGO®‑brick-based intervention run by Play Included designed to support the social, emotional and communication development of children and young people.
Led by facilitators who have completed Play Included’s certified training, the programme uses collaborative LEGO building sessions (called Brick Clubs) to create a safe, playful, and accepting environment. Together, participants take on roles such as Builder, Supplier and Engineer, work in teams to complete building challenges or freestyle builds, and practice communication, turn‑taking, and problem solving.
Brick‑by‑Brick® is officially endorsed by the LEGO Foundation and rooted in rigorous psychological research, showing benefits for social confidence, emotional wellbeing, and friendship building, especially for autistic young people or those with social communication differences.
Our practitioner has trained through Play Included to deliver this programme so sessions are not just fun, but structured, responsive, and tailored to support each child’s strengths and needs.

Our sessions are designed for children and young people who may benefit from support with communication, social interaction, or emotional regulation. We welcome participants with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and anxiety, but all children are assessed individually to ensure the programme is a good fit.
- 03
Sessions run in 6-week blocks, and each session follows a clear, consistent format with defined roles (e.g. builder, engineer, supplier) to support social communication and cooperation. Sessions can be delivered 1:1 or in small groups, depending on availability and level of interest. We can adapt the sessions dependant on the needs of the young person.
